Battlestar Galactica Mini-Series Part 3c
She then decides to ask him what he is working on and at first, the doctor doesn't cooperate, but then he tells her that he is trying to figure out how she managed to pull off the attack. He figures they shut down the entire defense system without firing a shot. He then states that she made changes to his program that allowed them to do it. Backdoors that could be exploited later. She agrees that his words are all true, in a sense. He then says, "That was your motive." She then admits that "Officially" that was her motive and then continues to imply that they had something special together. He responds with a mocking smile. He then looks up and says, "This is insane." She replies, "The thing I want most of all, is for you to love me." The doctor replies, "Love you?" She then replies, "Of course, Gaius. Don't you understand? God is love." implying that she is the voice of god. She then reaches over and kisses a willing Dr. Baltar and then he comes out of it and decides it was another hallucination.
New Scene:
Back on the Ragnar Anchorage Munitions Depot, the men are working hard at the re-supply efforts and we see a fork lift moving rather fast and the chief yells, "Hey! Hey, hey, hey, just slow down!" Then the camera pans over to Commander Adama walking with the stranger and he says, "We don't know much more than that. It's just imperative that we get our equipment and get out of here." They stop for a second and the commander is looking up and around when he notices a closed door. He then asks, "What's in there?" The stranger replies, "Stuff." and shakes his head, not really knowing. They pry the door open and have a look inside the dark room. Commander Adama asks for a light and points it into the room, then asks the stranger, "Where's your spaceship?" The stranger replies, "Docked on the other side of the station." We then hear the chief yelling, "Be careful, don't stack em so high!" The scene switches back over and the stranger says, "Ok those warheads over there, here's the deal, they would have brought a nice price on the open market." like he is trying to come clean with the commander. The commander almost believes him and asks, "So, you're an arms dealer, huh?" The stranger replies, "People have a right to protect themselves, I just supply the means." The commander looks up at the stranger and notices something, then says, "You don't look too good." The scene switches over to the chief who is yelling, "Be careful with that, alright? Hey! Be careful with that!!!" as one of the pallets fall over and a bomb rolls out on the floor. Everyone yells to get to safety and the commander grabs the stranger and leaps into the room. The explosion goes off and no one was hurt, but it traps the commander in the next room. Cally and the chief are yelling through the rubble in front of the doorway, "Commander? Commander Adama?" The chief yells to his men to go get some equipment to dig the commander out and Cally says to wait. She says, "Chief? Listen." as we hear the voice of the the stranger laughing, because he survived the blast. Commander Adama is in pain, but he seems to be ok. They both get to their feet in a room full of smoke and then we hear the chief yelling, "Commander Adama?" The commander yells back, "Yeah!" he then asks, "Is anyone hurt out there?" The chief yells back, "No, sir! ... We've got some equipment coming, sir. We're going to get ya out of there, right away!" The commander orders, "NO! Get all the bullets and equipment into the ship! Don't waste anybody on anything else." The commander turns to the stranger and asks, "Is there another way out of here?" to which he replies, "Yeah." The commander looks him over, to see if he can trust him. He then turns back to the blocked doorway and yells, "Listen, we're going to go out another way." The chief replies, "Sir? I don't think that's a wise idea." The commander replies, "You got your orders. Tell Colonel Tigh, he's in command until I return.", then he turns to the stranger and points down the hallway with his flashlight saying, "Let's go."
New Scene:
The camera zooms in on the Botanical Cruiser, that is 5 hours from Caprica. The captain of this ship is talking to the President and advising her of the status of his ship and the number of people on board. The president then says, "Give Billy a copy of your passenger manifest and a list of all your emergency supplies." The captain then asks, "What about the power situation? Our batteries are running pretty low." The president replies, "Captain Apollo will be making an engineering survey of all the ships, this afternoon." Then Billy speaks up, "The captain said it would be more like this evening, before he can coordinate the survey." Then the president changes her earlier statement to,"Alright, this evening, then. You will get your needs tended to, captain, you have my word on it." The captain reaches out to shake her hand and thanks her, she replies with "Your welcome." The president then walks over to a little girl, who's sitting near one of the gardens and the child explains that she is supposed to be meeting her daddy and they are supposed to go to dinner, eat chicken pie, and do other fun stuff, before he reads to her and she goes to bed.
The scene fast forwards to the President sitting alone, contemplating the events that have taken place and her thoughts are interrupted by Apollo, who has a message to give her. Apollo reads, "The message is from Lieutenant Valerii, she's found a fuel refinery ship filled with Tylium." The president sighs in relief and says, "Ahh. Good. About time we got a break. That brings us up to about what? 60 ships, so far? Not bad for a few hours." Apollo replies, "No, sir. But, only about 40 of those ships have faster than light capabilities. We should start transferring people off of the sub-lights onto the FTL's as soon as possible." The president agrees.
The scene switches to outside where Boomer and another ship have just arrived. Boomer radios in, "Colonial One? Raptor 312 ... I'm back and I brought a friend." The Colonial One replies, "Welcome back Boomer! We've got a lot of thirsty ships here, waiting to make your friend's acquaintance. Did you pick up any other contacts out there?" Boomer replies, "Negative, there's no one left." Suddenly a Cylon Raider shows up on Boomer's tracking computer and she communicates, "Got a visitor!" The Colonial One replies, "We see him, can you jam his signal?" Boomer replies, "Trying." The Raider quickly scans the ships and disappears with another hyper jump.
The scene switches to the Colonial one, where the captain of the ship says, "It definitely scanned us before it jumped." Apollo replies, "We have to go, now. The cylons will be here any minute." The President asks, "Will they be able to track us through a jump?" Apollo replies, "No, sir. That's impossible." The president replies, "Theoretically impossible." Apollo nods, "Theoretically." Aaron speaks up and says, "Madam president? There are still thousands of people aboard the sub-light ships, we can't just leave them." The captain of the ship says, "I agree, we should use every second to get as many people off the sub-lights as we can. We can wait to jump, until we pick up the Cylon strike force." Apollo shakes his head, then interrupts, "We're easy targets, they're going to jump right in the middle of us with a handful of nukes and wipe us out before we even have a chance to react." Aaron disagrees, "You can't just leave them behind, you'll be sacrificing thousands of people." Apollo replies, "But we will be saving tens of thousands. I'm sorry to make it a numbers game, but we are talking about the survival of our race here, and we don't have the luxury of taking risks and hoping for the best, because if we lose, we lose everything."
