Battlestar Galactica Mini-Series Part 3d

He then turns to the president, "And Madam President? This is a decision that needs to be made, right now." She thinks about his words for a moment, then gives the order, "Order the fleet to jump to Ragnar, immediately." With those words, Apollo turns and walks to the cockpit to do just that. As he and the captain of the ship leave toward the cockpit, Billy starts to tell the president something, but she interrupts him and says she has cancer. He tells her that he already knows, because of some subtle clues she had revealed, recently. As Billy turns to leave, the president asks, "Was there something you wanted to tell me?" Billy replies, "I just thought you should know, that little girl you met earlier? Her ship can't make the jump." He then leaves the room.

The scene switches to the cockpit, where the captain communicates, "This is your captain speaking. Passengers, please, take your seats and stand by to jump. Thank you." Then we hear a bunch of radio signals to the Colonial One, begging them not to leave them there. The camera switches back and forth to the little girl on the Botanical Cruiser and the cockpit of the Colonial one. Then one of the ships makes a request, "At least tell us where you are going, we'll follow at sub-light." The captain of the Colonial One, was about to signal to them when Apollo stops him, "No. If they're captured, then the Cylons know too." Apollo starts the countdown, "All ships, prepare to jump on my mark. 5 ... 4 ... 3" Suddenly the Cylon fleet jumps to their coordinates and Apollo continues the countdown, "... 2 ... 1" The Cylons are closing in and Apollo says, "Mark." which signals the fleet to make the jump. As soon as they make the jump, the Cylons fire their missiles and those that were left behind are immediately destroyed.

New Scene:
Back on the Ragnar Anchorage, the stranger is walking ahead of the commander through a doorway and he stops about midway down the next hall. He leans over and you can tell that the atmosphere is getting to him. The commander asks if he is alright, and the stranger tells him that there's something about the atmosphere that affects his allergies. He then makes an observation that the commander never let's anyone walk behind him, because of military training. He continues to philosophize and the commander is not impressed. The stranger talks about how humanity is not a pretty race, that we are only one step away from beating each other with clubs like savages fighting over a scraps of meat. He then suggests that the Cylons are god's retribution for humanity's sins. He asks, "What if god decided he made a mistake? And he decided to give souls to another creature? Like the cylons." Commander Adama rebukes him by saying, "God didn't create the Cylons, man did. And I'm pretty sure we didn't include a soul in the programming." He then orders the stranger, "Let's go." The stranger asks, "How about you go first, for a while?"

The scene switches to the command center where alarms are going off. "Action Stations! Action Stations", is heard on the loud speaker. Gaeta says, there are around 50 ships coming in. Colonel Tigh orders, "Cut us lose from the station! Launch the Alert Fighters!" He then gets on the COM and says, "Set Condition 1, through out the ship! Prepare to launch ...." He is interrupted by Dee, who says, "Wait ... Wait ... I'm getting colonial signals now." Colonel Tigh orders her, "Confirm that!" He sets the COM down and walks over to Dee saying, "Don't just accept friendly ID's." Dee replies, "Confirmed, sir. Incoming ships are friendly." Colonel Tigh goes back to the COM and orders, "Action Stations, stand down." Dee then tells the commander, "The lead ship is requesting to come along side, sir. They say .... They say they have the President of the Colonies, aboard." Colonel Tigh is surprised, shakes his head then says, "Grant their request."

The scene switches to show Colonel Tigh talking to the President and he tells her, "We are in the middle of repairing and re-arming this ship! We can't afford to lose a single man off the line to start caring for refugees!" The President replies, "We have 50 thousand people out there and some of them are hurt. Our Priority has to be caring for...." Colonel Tigh interrupts her, "My priority is preparing this ship for combat, incase you haven't heard, there's a war on." The president replies, "Colonel? The war is over .... and we lost." Colonel Tigh replies, "We'll see about that." The President replies, "Oh, yes we will .... In the mean time, however, as President of the Colonies, I'm giving you a direct order.." Colonel Tigh rebukes her, "You don't give orders aboard this ship!" Apollo interjects, "Hold on, Colonel. At least, gives us a couple of disaster pods." The colonel asks, "Us?" Apollo replies, "Sir? We have 50 thousand people out there, 50 thousand ... Some of them are sick, some are wounded ....two disaster pods, colonel, you can do that." The colonel answers, "Because you're the old man's son and because he's going to be so damn happy you're alive .... Ok, two pods, but no personnel! You get them yourselves and you distribute them yourselves .... and you are all off this ship before we jump back!" He is walking away, but stops in front of Apollo and says, "You report to the flight deck, you're senior pilot now, captain!" Apollo salutes and says, "Yes, sir."

The scene switches to where Chief Tyrol is walking down the halls looking around. The love music starts playing and he turns to see Boomer in the distance. They run to each other, hug, kiss, and both are very happy to see the other survived. The scene switches to Billy walking down the hall and he runs into Dee, the love music is still playing and he asks her where the CIC is. She runs up and kisses him, then says, "This way." The scene switches back to Boomer and Tyrol who are still in joyous reunion. She introduces him to Boxxy, who just happens to be tagging along. Then they go back to kissing and more kissing and ...well, you get the picture.

The love music is still playing and the camera has switched over to where Apollo is approaching Starbuck. Starbuck is under her Viper making repairs when he, with a big smile on his face says, "Hey." She can barely see who it is that is saying hello, so she slides out from under the Viper to see her old friend. He helps her to her feet and the love music stops playing. She looks at him, takes a deep breath and says, "I thought you were dead." He can barely keep from grinning and says, "Well, I thought you were a hack." She smiles and then replies, "It's good to be wrong." Apollo, who is still giddy, replies, "Well you should be used to it by now." Starbuck smiles again and says, "Everyone has a skill." A little more serious, Apollo asks, "How go the repairs?" She replies, "On track. Another hour and she'll be ready to launch .... So, I guess you're the new CAG, now?" Apollo replies, "Yeah, that's what they tell me." Starbuck still kidding says, "Good, that's the last thing I want, men are big enough dipstick for the job." They both have a giggle and Apollo says "I'll be in the Squadron Ready Room." They both smile and he starts to walk away, when Starbuck asks, "Hey? Does your father know you're still breathing?" Apollo with a resentful voice replies, "Tsk....Ill let him know." The camera switches back to show that Starbuck is concerned about the father - son relationship.
