Battlestar Galactica Mini-Series Part 4a
In the last episode, Number Six had just revealed the silver briefcase, that she had been carrying on Caprica, was hidden on board the Battlestar Galactica. Dr. Baltar realizes, that the only way it could have gotten there, is another Cylon infiltrator put it there. More importantly, the evil agent is most likely still on board the ship!
The scene opens with Dr. Baltar trying to get a closer look at the briefcase, which is lodged in an alcove above the center, tactical, table. Gaeta comes up from behind him and asks, "Everything ok, doc?" Dr. Baltar says everything is fine and he just finished erasing the program from the defense main-frame, but wants to check it again. He walks back to his work station and then we hear the loudspeaker say, "Attention, recovering space craft, aft." The message repeats. Then we see the doctor experiencing another hallucination of Number Six. She seductively walks over and sits on his lap. The doctor tells her that she is not helping and she makes an offended gesture, because he is not reacting to her charms. She then says, "I'm sorry, how can I help?" Dr. Baltar replies, "Well, for start, you can tell me what that is." She replies, "Honestly, I don't know." Dr. Baltar then says, "It hasn't exploded" to which she quickly replies, "Yet." She then seductively moves closer and whispers, "I'm just guessing." Dr. Baltar thinks about it and then says, "I have to warn them." Number Six chuckles and replies, "How do you supposed to do that? .... Oh look! A cylon device! Really? Well, how do you know what a Cylon device looks like, doctor?" Amused, she flirts a little with him then says, "Oh, I forgot to mention, I'm familiar with Cylon technology, because I have been having sex with a Cylon for the last two years, now." The doctor replies, "I'll come up with something." Then number six, seductively replies, "I love surprises ..... Speaking of sex ...." and she starts massaging between his legs. The doctor is clearly feeling arousal and whispers, "I don't think that's such a good idea, right now, really ... really." She whispers, "Why not? No one will know, it will be our little secret" while, still seducing him. The doctor is now succumbing to her charms and is breathing heavy. He leans back and positions himself to receive her affection in a more accepting fashion, makes a moan of pleasure, then the museum guide startles him, "Doctor!" Aaron tries not to watch what is going on and the doctor pulls himself together, then replies, "Yes?" Then Aaron says, "You asked for a report on how many ships had your CMP program?" The doctor is still a little flush, but he answers, "Fine ... Thank you." Aaron then nods his head and asks, "Are you alright? You look a little flush." The doctor responds, as if it is none of Aaron's business, "I'm fine. Thank you, very much." Then Aaron gives him a "You're a weirdo." look, says "Ok." and turns to walk away. The doctor watches him walk away and in the process, his vision is directed to the briefcase, still lodged in the alcove. This gives the doctor an idea and Number Six asks, "What are you thinking?" The doctor, with resolve, responds, "I'm thinking that someone else, might need to be implicated as a Cylon agent." Number Six looks surprised, she looks up at Aaron and says, "I don't think he is the type and I don't remember seeing him at any of the Cylon parties." She looks into Dr. Baltar's eyes and he responds, "Funny ... He's a civilian, he's an outsider, he's been aboard this ship for weeks and has had virtually unlimited access to this very room. There is one problem, though." Number Six replies, "Morally.", to which the doctor responds, "Practically, but so far on board this ship, no one even suspects that the Cylons look like us, now."
New Scene:
The camera shows a bloody solider being carried on a gurney toward the morgue, when they pass Commander Adama and Colonel Tigh, who says, "This just get's worse and worse. Now the Cylon's look like us." The commander replies, "Down to our blood." , to which the colonel replies, "You realize what this means? They could be anywhere," he changes his voice to sound more urgent and continues, "Any ONE!" Commander Adama replies, "I've had time to think about it." and Colonel Tigh asks, "So, what do we do?", to which the commander replies, "I don't know." He pauses, then asks the colonel, "How are we doing on the warheads?", to which the colonel replies, "Magazine 2 is secure, 3 and 4 within the hour." The colonel pauses and then says, "There's something else .... Lee, is alive." The commander looks up in surprise, removes the bandage that he was holding on his forehead and then sighs, thinking that finally something good has happened.
New Scene:
Apollo is in the commander's quarters looking for his dad and says, "Commander?" He realizes that his father is not there and turns around to see a picture sitting on the table. The picture shows that it is of his mother, his brother zak, and himself taken during a happier time of his youth. He then turns toward the door, to see his father walking in and his expression turns to surprise and concern when he sees the commander's wound. The commander looks at his son with admiration and relief that he is alive, then whispers, "Sorry." Apollo places the photo back on the table and says, "I uh....gota go." The commander quickly grasps his son's arm to stop him from leaving and then reaches out to give him a fatherly hug. The camera pans around to show Apollo's face, who is now letting his guard down to show love and relief that they are both alive. He then raises his arms to hug his father back, while closing his eyes to drink this new hope in. After a long embrace, the commander let's go and faces toward the center of the room. Apollo has positioned himself behind his father gives one last look then turns to leave. The commander turns his head to watch his son leave the room and lowers his head in gratitude.
New Scene:
Commander Adama, Colonel Tigh, and Dr. Baltar are in a briefing room, where the doctor is putting his plan, of implicating Aaron, into action. Colonel Tigh starts by saying, "The ship's doctor has stated that everything in Leoben's (aka, the stranger the commander fought on Ragnar Anchorage) body appears human ... Internal organs, Lymphatic System, the works." Dr. Baltar then replies, "Right, well the uh ... the tissue sample yielded unique chemical compounds during cremation, that reveal the nature of the sample to be synthetic." Then the doctor acts as if he just realized Leoben is a Cylon. The commander replies, "Yes, he was ... and now we have a problem." The colonel chimes in, "A big one." The commander continues, "If the Cylons look like us ... then any one of us could be a Cylon." The doctor replies, "That's a very frightening possibility." The commander then says, "We need a way to screen human from Cylon and that's where you come in." The doctor, acting humble squeaks, "Me? .... umm.." Colonel Tigh then says, "Rumor has it, that your a genius." The doctor replies, "Well, uh ...I'll, certainly, give it my all ... commander." Colonel Tigh then says, "Keep this to yourself for now ... we don't want to start panic, where people will begin accusing their neighbors of being a Cylon, because they don't brush their teeth in the morning." The doctor replies, "I'll be very discreet."
