Number Six is one of the first Cylon infiltrators, a beautiful one at that, who, along with Dr. Baltar's unwitting help, manages to obtain top secret defense information, that allows the Cylon's devastating attack on Caprica, to go unchallenged. All humanoid models of Cylon, retain memories when they die, by downloading them into a copied body, so even though she has been killed numerous times, she and the others remain a grave threat to humanity, because death has no meaning to them..
Dr. Gaius Baltar
Dr. Baltar, is a scientist of incredible genius, that developed the computer programming used in almost all colonial ships and fighters. Unwittingly seduced into betraying his people, he allows "Number Six" to obtain the top secret information needed to disable the colonial fleet, before the attack on his home world. Dr. Baltar spends the rest of his days, trying to prevent the discovery of his crimes against humanity. He is plagued by visions of the beautiful Cylon, "Number Six", who convinces him, that her god talks to him through her and that his will is undeniable. Often the crew will witness Dr. Baltar in conversation with his vision, which drives them to believe he may be crazy, however, more often than not, they contribute this behavior to extreme eccentricity due to his uncanny brilliance, and consequently, dismiss it entirely.
Colonel Saul Tigh
Colonel Tigh, the executive officer on the Galactica, is a life long friend of Commander Adama, who controls his many character defects, through shear discipline. He is a tough spirit and emotional rock, but uses alcohol to suppress the misery of his cheating wife and as a result, his temper often flares, inappropriately. However dark, his character may seem, he is a valuable asset to the ship and to his people, because of his vast military and tactical experience.
