Battlestar Galactica Season One, Episode "Thirty-three", Page 2

The camera switches back to the command center, where Gaeta reports, "All civilian ships away, including the Colonial One." Commander Adama gives the order, "Recover fighters ...Stand by to jump." The camera switches over to Apollo's cockpit, where he orders the squadron, "Combat landings!", then we see the squadron of Vipers, making a very rushed and dangerous touchdown on the landing bay deck. The camera switches back to the command center, where Dee reports, "All fighters aboard, sir.", to which the commander orders, "Execute Jump!" The camera switches back outside to see a flurry of missiles, headed toward the Galactica and countless Raiders on their way, but with a flash of light, the Mighty Galactica makes the hyper jump, to meet up with the rest of the fleet.

When the Galactica comes out of hyper jump, the camera switches back to the command center, where the commander looks back to Gaeta, who reports, "Jump 237, complete." It is obvious now, why the crew seems so exhausted. They have made 237 continuous hyper jumps, one every thirty-three minutes, non-stop! Dee makes the report, "All civilian ships, present and accounted for, sir." Colonel Tigh gives the order, "Start the clock ...And let's start prepping for the next jump." We then hear Gaeta on the loudspeaker, "The clock is running ...thirty-three minutes ...mark!" The scene switches down to the hangar bay, where we see the chief setting his clock, looking to the crew, and saying, "We have thirty-two minutes, people." Then you notice, that Cally is showing extreme exhaustion, seemingly overwhelmed, because there is no relief in sight.

New Scene:
Back to Dr. Baltar, who is hallucinating again, we see that he is with the Cylon woman, engaged in sexual fantasy. Number Six sighs with pleasure, then says, "You know you're not safe.", to which the doctor replies, "No, of course not." He removes some of his clothes and says, "The Cylons, will of course ...follow us, again ...As they have for the last 237 times." Number six replies, "You're right, you know. There are limits. Eventually, you'll make a mistake.", to which the doctor replies, "And then, you'll kill us all." She nods, and the doctor continues, "Yes, ...Yes, I know ...but for another thirty-three minutes." The two are preparing for a sexual embrace, Number six smiles with triumph, and then the doctor is suddenly brought out of his hallucination.

New Scene:
The crew has now been, 130.35 hours, without sleep. The camera zooms in to show the entire fleet moving together, through space, then switches to the commander's quarters, where he is shaving and talking to Colonel Tigh, "I want to try something new, this time." Colonel Tigh listens and the commander continues, "Divide the fleet into six groups ...and then jump two more times, and on the fourth jump, we rendezvous at a common set coordinates." The colonel replies, "24 jumps to plot ...We're breaking our humps, calculating one jump every thirty-three minutes."

New scene:
Captain Adama, aka Apollo, is going over a briefing with the Viper pilots, in the ready room, "Combat landings are expected to be the order of the day, so double check your undercarriage, before uh ..." Apollo is having trouble staying awake, but he continues, "Look, you've all done this 237 times ...You know what to do. No mistakes ...And let's make it to 238 ...And good luck and be careful out there." As the pilot's get up and start to walk out of the room, they all touch a picture on the wall, for good luck. The picture is that of a man on one knee, in the middle of a Nuclear holocaust, with a completely destroyed city off in the distance. You can hear some of the pilots say, "Keep us safe." and "Never forget.", as they touch their good luck charm and leave the room.

The scene switches to the hangar bay, where we see the crew of engineers hard at work, repairing some extremely damaged Vipers. Chief Tyrol, asks a crewman, "Hey? Can you do me a favor? Tell Captain Apollo, he owes me ONE wing." Cally hands the chief her data pad, the chief takes a look, and says, "No, Cally. I know there is three. Can you check it, again?", to which she replies, "Yep." The chief, then notices a crewman lying on the ground and says, "Hey! We'll sleep when we're dead. Come on."

New Scene:
We see Boomer is working on something and the C.O. calls her attention, "Boomer? Have you heard the latest? It seems Cylon's look like us, now ...Primary fuel?", to which Boomer replies, "Primary fuel, 2893 carriage." The C.O. continues, "A marine told one of the pilots, that we marooned some guy back on Ragnar, because the EXO thought that he was a Cylon." Boomer angrily replies, "You know what!? I don't give a FRACK! ...Red light in the number 4 thruster, go make a visual ID, see if it's blocked!" The C.O. , in a humbled voice, replies, "Right." Meanwhile, Chief Tyrol overheard the conversation, he then approaches Boomer and says, "A little rough on the new C.O., don't you think?", to which Boomer replies with disgust, "He's not my C.O., he's some refugee, that I have been saddled with, and I didn't ask you!" Chief Tyrol, is taken aback, but replies, "Helo, is gone, Sharon.", she angrily replies, "I didn't ask you, that either!" The chief shakes his head, knowing he has caught her in a bad mood, and decides to leave well enough alone. As the chief turns to walk away in silence, Boomer looks back and apologizes, for being so rude, "Sorry!"

New Scene:
We see Dee, who is standing in line, to an information desk. When it is her turn to talk to the man, he asks, "Colony?", to which she replies, "Sagitarian ...How many have you got ..." The man interrupts, "Five thousand two hundred fifty-one survived from Sagitarian, last count." She then wants to give the man some pictures of her missing family and the man says, "We can't transmit photos, yet. So, if you want, you can leave them here with us, or you can put them on the board, outside." Dee, with great sadness on her face, replies, "Thanks.", she looks down with disappointment, then turns to walk away. The man at the desk, then says, "Next!", then says, "Colony?" The scene switches over to show Dee, who has found the small bulletin board, where all of the pictures of missing people are being hung. She looks at a few pictures as she is searching for a place to put hers. As she is walking, she turns the corner and is shocked to see the entire corridor is plastered with countless photos of missing people.

New Scene:
On board the Colonial One, Billy is taking his seat, opposite of President Roslin's desk and says, "Update on the headcount, Madam President.", as he hands her the document. She looks at the document with disbelief, pauses for a moment and then says, "How did we lose, 300?" to which Billy replies, "There were some over counts ...uh, a few deaths from wounds, and a few missing during the last attack." After hearing the explanation, she slowly get's to her feet, walks over to a marker board, erases the number 50,298 and replaces it with 49,998 ...The total number of humans, known to be left alive in the universe.
