New Scene:
Down in the Galactica's hangar bay, Apollo is talking to Boomer, "It's a critical mission, Boomer. We already, have fights breaking out on some ships ...over water rations. There's panic in the air ...if you don't find water and find it soon...." Boomer interrupts him with, "I understand, Captain. I'll find it.", to which Apollo nods and replies, "Good hunting." As Apollo walks away, Chief Tyrol approaches Boomer and greets her with, "Lieutenant" Boomer replies with, "Chief." As the two are walking around the other side of her Raptor, Chief Tyrol inspects her ship, to approve it for launch. Then, Boomer says, "Oh, my head's about to explode." The chief tells her "Just relax and calm down. Focus on the mission and we'll take care of everything when you get back." Boomer replies with the question, "What about the investigation?" Chief Tyrol replies, "Master at Arms is running it. Don't worry, she's not looking for you." After a short pause he continues, "Actually, there's no reason to believe you had anything to do with it, at all." Boomer is a little surprised by his words and says, "I didn't!" and the chief replies with, "I know.", but Boomer is worried that the chief doesn't believe her, so she says, "I would never do something like that!" Chief Tyrol looks back at her, to try to sense the truth, so Boomer tries to convince him with, "Never!" He tries to give her some assurance with, "Sharon? I know.", but Boomer is still not convinced, so she says, "It's really important, that you believe me on this. You do believe me, right?" The chief looks right in her eyes and says, "Absolutely." Some other crewman are walking by, so the chief stands at attention and salutes Boomer, then says, "Yes, sir!" She follows his lead and returns the salute, then says "Thank you, chief. Carry on." and the chief walks away.

New Scene:
The president is standing near a desk, in the commander's quarters, perusing some of his books, when Commander Adama enters saying, "Please, excuse me, for keeping you awake. I was called into the engine room ...it'll just take a moment." She replies with, "It's alright" After a short pause, she says, "Sometime, I 'ld like to borrow a book or two ...I only brought one with me, on the flight to Galactica." While, the commander is washing his hands, he replies with, "What book?" The president replies with, "Murder on Picon ...I have a weakness for mystery." The commander replies with, "You ever read, Dark Day?", to which the president responds, "Edward Prima ...I am embarrassed to say, it's one of those classics, that I have never gotten around to reading." The commander dries his hands off, then walks over to his bookshelf, pulls that book out and hands it to her saying, "I think you'll enjoy it." She takes the book and then says, "Thank you. It may be a while, before I get this back to you.", to which the commander affectionately replies, "It's a gift. Never lend books." She is a little surprised and says, "Well then, thank you for the gift.", with genuine sincerity.

New Scene:
Dr. Baltar is walking down a hallway with Gaeta in tow and Number Six follows closely, as his hallucination continues. Gaeta starts with, "I'm really looking forward to working with you, doctor." Number Six chooses to tease the doctor with, "You have a friend." Gaeta continues, "I, actually, studied genetics in college. In fact, I was planning on going for my graduate degree with the military extension program." Dr. Baltar stops, looks at him, then says, "Wonderful." He turns to look in the room and says, "Is that a card game?" In an attempt to give Gaeta the slip, he walks into the room, where we see Starbuck, winning another hand with a big smile on her face and glee in her eye. With celebration she trumpets, "And the girl, wins again!" After a short pause she asks the guys, if they want to play another round, but they look like they have had enough losing, so she begs, "Oh come on, guys. Grace under pressure. Nothing like a little money, to take your mind off those 14 hour patrols." As some of the guys leave, Dr. Baltar approaches and asks, "Mind if I sit in, Lieutenant?" She replies with a serious, "You've got the cubits, we've got the chair ...Of course, if you've got the, anything to drink, we'll take that in lieu of cash.", as she slams another shot. Dr. Baltar looks at Starbuck and says, "You know, I don't have any money, but uhh ...This jacket must be worth 15 cubits.", as he takes it off, describes it's value, and lays it on the table. He looks around the room and says, "Anybody else got any civilian clothes, they would be interested in putting on the table?" The doctor sits down at the table, then turns to Gaeta and says, "Don't let me keep you." Gaeta is annoyed with Dr. Baltar and walks away.

New Scene:
While the commander and president are still in his quarters talking, she says, "Colonel Tigh, was right. Rioting broke out on a cruise ship, when they reduced water rations. We need to demonstrate the ability to maintain order and we need to do it, now." Commander Adama replies with, "We don't have extra man power ...for fleet security.", to which the president replies, "You have the only armed, disciplined, force available." Commander Adama replies with, "Yeah, but I'm not going to be your policeman." The president makes a scoffing gesture and the commander continues, "There's a reason why we separate the military and the police. One fights the enemy of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both ...then the enemies of the state, tend to become the people." The president starts to see his point and replies with, "I appreciate the complexity of the issue and I won't let that happen." Commander Adama doesn't believe she will be able to stop it from happening, but agrees with, "I'll send troops to the cruise ship." The president tries to reassure him with, "Commander? I won't let that happen." and they both look at each other with respect.

New Scene:
The camera shows that Boomer has launched her Raptor and is traveling through one of the nearby systems, in search of water. As they are scanning, she says, "Beginning Dradis One sweep." and her shipmate follows with, "Beginning Dradis Two sweep." Boomer's copilot mentions naming the planet after a girl he used to know and that just annoys her. Then suddenly, the camera zooms down beside her seat, to show the final missing detonator, attached to some explosives and armed!

New Scene:
Back at the card game, Dr. Baltar gloats over his winnings and he get's up to leave, but before doing so, he turns to Starbuck and says, "A parting gift?", while holding a cigar out in his hand. He then continues with, "Hand rolled from some of the finest on Caprica. It's also, one of the last in the universe." She takes the cigar, so he lights it for her, then he does a little flirting, so he must think he has a chance with her. Starbuck blows some smoke in his face and thanks him, but he mistakes this for affection and it only serves to encourage him.
