The president suspects that Commander Adama may be a Cylon, when she learns that secret communications are being transmitted to other ships in the fleet.
A damaged Cylon Raider appears from nowhere and begins making continuous hyper jumps, but is unable to successfully leave that area of space.
When the commander returns from a suspicious trip to another ship, bringing with him Colonel Tigh's wife, who was believed to be dead, the president dismisses her distrust of him. However, she immediately orders Dr. Baltar to administer screening to both of them, just to be safe. Meanwhile, Dr. Baltar is overwhelmed that he has to administer, nearly fifty thousand tests, which will take more than a lifetime to complete.
As Colonel Tigh discovers that his estranged wife is still alive, he tries to gain control over his alcoholism. Down on Caprica, Sharon is developing feelings for Helo and her superiors are not happy about it.
