Battlestar Galactica Season 2.5, Episode "The Captain's Hand", Page 1

Onboard the Battlestar Galactica, Tyrol and crew discover a young pregnant girl named Rya Kibby, who insists that she be treated by Dr. Cottle.

Chief Garner, who was recently promoted to Commander, takes command of the Pegasus and is immediately given an opportunity to prove his worth, when two Raptors send a distress signal from an area of space saturated with radiation that garbles the message.

Meanwhile, Apollo is promoted to Major and EXO of the Pegasus, while his budding relationship with Dee heats up.

While Starbuck is still assigned to the Pegasus, she and Commander Garner are in constant disagreement and he considers throwing her in the brig for discontent.

Back on the Battlestar Galactica, the young pregnant girl demands to be allowed to have an abortion, while the Pro-Life Gemenon people protest and threaten the president with changing political loyalty, if she does not prevent it from happening.

Back on the Battlestar Pegasus, Commander Garner's incompetence glares it's ugly head, when he insists on launching a rescue attempt, contrary to Starbuck's warning that it is a trap. Even after Admiral Adama orders him to stand down, he disobeys and takes the Pegasus to the Raptor's last known coordinates. Apollo is the only one onboard, that can prevent the destruction of the Pegasus.

Meanwhile, the president considers outlawing abortion, due to the dwindling population of the human race and Dr. Baltar uses the issue to further his own political agenda.

The above summary is complete and a full episode recap will soon follow!
