Battlestar Galactica Season 2.5, Episode "Lay Down Your Burdens Part 2", Page 1
Down on Caprica, Starbuck and Anders wonder why the Cylons have suddenly vanished and "Brother Cavil" praises god for their deliverance. When the team returns to the Battlestar Galactica with the survivors, it is discovered that Cavil is a Cylon, because Tyrol had recently been given spiritual consul, with regard to his nightmares. The new Cavil tries to persuade the crew that Caprica Six and Boomer convinced them of the error in their ways and now they want to live in peace with the humans.
In an effort to protect humanity from the untrustworthy Baltar, President Roslin devises a plan to steal the election, when she learns that she will most certainly lose. Meanwhile, Admiral Adama and her discuss the morality of stealing the election and even though they know it is wrong, they decide to continue with the plan. Unfortunately, Gaeta discovers discrepancies in the ballots, which requires a recount and Dr. Baltar wins the presidency.
As President Baltar takes office, Gina detonates the Nuclear Warhead and destroys the "Cloud Nine" luxury liner.
President Baltar orders colonization of the planet, named New Caprica, even though Admiral Adama advises against it.
As months go by, most of the population slowly moves down to New Caprica and Chief Tyrol eventually marries Cally. While she is pregnant, they lead a labor union against President Baltar's unfair policies.
As growing numbers move down to the planet only a bare essential crew is left aboard the Battlestars Galactica and Pegasus. Meanwhile, Admiral Adama is weary that the Cylons will find them and a year later his fears come to bare, when an enormous Cylon fleet jumps to their coordinates. Against overwhelming odds and no hope of survival, Admiral Adama orders the battlestars to leave the system and the colony is subjected to a brutal Cylon occupation.
