Battlestar Galactica Season Two, Episode "Flight Of The Phoenix", Page 1
With morale as low as it has ever been, due to months of death and destruction brought on by the relentless Cylon attacks, things are looking pretty grim for the crew of the Battlestar Galactica and the fleet they protect.
Chief Tyrol, who is overshadowed with despair at the loss of his beloved Boomer, verbally duels with Apollo and gets into a fist fight with Helo, who is in love with the Cylon copy brought back from Caprica.
Meanwhile, Cally is released from her 30 day incarceration in the brig and the crew welcomes her back.
Chief Tyrol decides to spend his energy on more productive concerns, while he designs a whole new ship. Everyone criticizes his efforts, but the unyielding chief continues and before long, things start to take shape. The crew takes notice and is inspired to help with the effort, which results in an amazing new weapon to use against the Cylons..
Meanwhile, the Cylon virus continues to affect the Battlestar Galactica's systems and endangers the crew on many levels. Dr. Baltar discovers the virus is a sort of "Logic Bomb" that can adapt to the crew's attempt destroy it. Later, Sharon is called on to help and she warns that an impending attack is certain to follow.
In an attempt to save the fleet, Commander Adama orders all ships to make a Hyper Jump to safety, while the Galactica holds off the enormous onslaught of Cylon Raiders. Sharon is able to turn the virus against the attackers, which saves everyone onboard the ship and the entire Viper Attack Squadron from certain destruction.
