Battlestar Galactica Season Three, Episode "The Woman King", Page 5
New Scene:
Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, we see Helo, enter the doctor's office and he calls out, "Dr. Robert?", but no one is there. This gives him the opportunity, to investigate the possibility of foul play and while searching, he finds some incriminating evidence. Suddenly, Dr. Cottle enters the room and surprises Helo with, "You ought to try a bed, Helo. You'll get more sleep, that way." Helo stands up and with great urgency says, "He's killing them! It's right here!", to which Dr. Cottle replies, "You get your ass out of here right now, before I have the old man lock you up and throw away the key!" Helo replies, "No. Listen to me, he killed them, on New Caprica. Look...", as he shows the doctor the evidence he found. Helo continues, "A guy goes in for a cough, he dies of heart failure. Here, see for yourself!" He locates another record and says, "This one ...a woman had simple appendicitis, she died on the operating table. Of the Picons he treated? Twelve percent of them, died ...Capricans, oh he likes Capricans ...the mortality rate was six percent! Sagitarons? Ninety percent! Ninety percent of the Sagitarons died, while under his care!" Dr. Cottle interrupts him with, "I'm not going to listen to this! You hear me!? That man has his hands full, down there!" Helo replies with, "He's singling out, Sagitarons! That doesn't bother you?", to which the doctor replies, "What exactly are you...." Helo interrupts him with, "Doctor? That doesn't bother you!" Dr. Cottle then yells, "What exactly is he doing?", to which Helo replies, "I don't know, I'm not a doctor." Dr. Cottle replies with, "Well, now that's the first sensible thing you've said, yet!" Helo then says, "Listen to me, I don't think he's giving them the medicine. Something! He's doing something!" Dr. Cottle yells, "God! You're not going to let it go, are you!?" Helo then tries to calm the doctor with, "Please, can you do an autopsy on Mrs. King's son, to see how he died?" After a short pause, Helo continues, "I'll let it go, I will. I promise. I will let it go, just check.", to which the doctor replies, "I did ...I checked King's son. Malerak Sickness. He had Bitamucin, in his system." After hearing the doctor's words, Helo is startled and even baffled, because the recently discovered evidence, against Dr. Robert, seems undeniable. Dr. Cottle continues, "Alright!? Now, that's it! Now, you just leave it! And Get out of here!" A daunted Helo, has no choice, but to accept the doctor's words, as he leaves the room.
New Scene:
Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, we see Dee, visiting Dr. Robert, to report that she has started showing symptoms of Malerak Sickness. Dee says, "Hey Doc? I don't really feel, so good. You think I could get some of that Bitamucin?" Some eerie music starts playing and we see the doctor preparing a needle to inject Dee, who just happens to be from Sagittaron.
New Scene:
Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, Helo and Athena are in bed, sleeping, when we hear a fierce knock at the door. Helo jumps to his feet and draws his weapon, as he approaches the hatch to see who it is. When he opens the hatch, he finds Mrs. King, who has brought a grave warning, "Your friend. The soldier, ...Dualla. She's sick, she went to the doctor. She went to to doctor to..." Helo interrupts her with, "Slow down. Slow down. What?", but Mrs. King reciprocates the interruption, "No, no. You, listen to me! We lost two more, tonight ...Sagitarons, who let that murderer, treat them. You have to do something!" Suddenly, some marines run down the hall to stop Mrs. King and escort her, out of the area. "There she is! Ma'am!? You're not supposed to be, here! Let's go!" Mrs. King struggles, as they hall her away and one of the marines apologizes to Helo, "Sorry, Captain ...Fracken refugees! I don't know how she snuck through."
After the soldier leaves, Helo decides to get dressed and go investigate, but Athena tries to stop him, "Don't. Don't even think it.", to which Helo replies, "Sharon? It's Dualla ..." Athena replies with, "She has a husband." and Helo says, "Yeah and he's out flying CAP." Athena replies with, "She'll be fine. Look, she'll take her meds. She'll be fine." As Helo proceeds to get dressed, Athena continues with, "You know what's all over the ship? You and the Sagitarons. How you might, actually, be listening to them." Helo simply replies, "That's my job.", but Athena tries to convince him not to go, "They're dying, because they are refusing the medication, Karl.", to which Helo replies, "You want me to look the other way, is that it? Is that it? Our daughter is fine, that's all that matters?" Athena replies with "No.", but Helo continues, "As long as everyone hates the Sagitarons, forget you're a Cylon for five minutes." Athena yells, "You shut the Frack, up! ...Yeah, I want you to look the other way. I have to fight, every single day on this ship, to be accepted.", to which Helo replies, "This has nothing to do with you ...Ok? You think that's who I am, that's what I have become? That's my defining characteristic, the guy who's married to a Cylon?" Athena is silent, then Helo continues, "This guy is dirty. I think he's a liar and I think he is killing people, because he's a racist son of a bitch!"
New Scene:
Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, we see Helo, running to the refugee sickbay to try to stop the Dr. Robert from killing Dee. As he moves through the crowd, he yells, "Get out of the way! Get out of the way!" and shoves people out of his path. Some intense music starts playing, as he searches every cubicle in sickbay. When he finally reaches Dee, he examines her and checks to see if he is too late, "Dee? Dee? Dualla?", but there is no sign of life. Devastated, with the anxiety of being to late to save her, he gasps for air and screams, "No ...No, no, no....NOOO!!!!" Helo, is stricken with unbelievable guilt, because he should have stopped the doctor, before this happened, but suddenly, Dee moves her shoulder slightly and Helo is amazed to find that she is still alive. Helo, has great happiness and relief in his breathless voice, when he says, "Dualla? Hey ... Oh Dee...What are you doing down here?", as she opens her eyes and says, "What did Dr. Robert ...he gave me something ...it kicked the Frack out of me." As she gasps for air, she asks, "Where is Lee?", to which Helo replies, "We're going to go see him, come on. Come on, I've gotta take you to Cottle." and picks her up in his arms. Dee, offers weak resistance and says, "No.", because she doesn't like Dr. Cottle, but Helo is determined to get her to safety.
Suddenly, Dr. Robert arrives at Dee's cubicle, discovers what is going on, and says, "Hey! Hey, what the hell are you doing here!?" Helo, replies with, "She's coming with me." Dr. Robert demands, "No she's not. She's in no condition to go anywhere!", to which Helo, replies, "I'm taking her to Cottle, just to be safe." Dr. Robert yells, "What do you mean, to be safe? Look! Hey, get the hell out of here!", but Helo screams a threat, "Get the Frack out of my way, doctor!!! NOW!!!" The doctor knows, he is no match for Helo, so he backs off, in submission. As Helo carries Dee, out of the cubicle, he says, "Come on Dee, come on.", but the doctor yells, "Security!!!" and we see many soldiers rushing to the area. The scene, briefly, switches to show Colonel Tigh and Dr. Cottle moving to the area, then back to the action, where the soldiers have just arrived....
