Battlestar Galactica Season Three, Episode "The Woman King", Page 6
Dr. Robert points to Helo and yells, "Agathon! I don't know! He's lost it! He's hurting one of my patients!" and the soldiers confront Helo, with force. Helo tells the soldiers, "He's poisoned her, I'm taking her to Cottle!" and Dr. Robert demands, "Get the EXO!" We then hear Dee say, with very little strength, "Leave me alone. No, not Cottle. Please, leave me alone." One of the soldiers asks, "Captain? What's going on, sir? Captain!?" Dee is struggling to get away and says, "No, I want to sleep!", then one of the soldiers grabs Helo and yells, "Sir! She says, she doesn't want to go!" and Helo screams, "Get your hands off me, sergeant!" as he flips the soldier to the ground. As soon as Helo does this, a group of soldiers pull their weapons and a few more grab Helo to restrain him.
With a triumphant voice, Dr. Robert yells, "I don't know what kind of crusade you're on, or who you're trying to impress, but this seriously, is not working!" Helo yells, "You're killing them Robert! I know you're doing it!" Just then, Colonel Tigh arrives and gives the order, "Stand down!" Dr. Robert, with a welcome voice, turns to his friend and says, "Saul. You told me he was a flake, but you didn't tell me he was dangerous.", but Colonel Tigh is pissed and yells, "Shut the Frack up!!!" he turns to Dr. Cottle and says, "How is she?" Dr. Cottle examines Dee and says, "She's been sedated, but she's ok."
Dr. Robert asks the colonel, "You don't believe him do ya? He's, seriously, Delusional! He needs help!" Colonel Tigh replies, "Yeah, and we should have given it to him.", as he turns his back and walks away from him. Helo then asks, "Doc?", to which Dr. Cottle replies, "I didn't check Willy's blood , until a couple of hours, ago ...I was exhausted and I'll admit the Sagitarons annoy the hell out of me ...and I didn't want to go against my colleague ...But, you were right about the records, Helo. There was no Bitamucin in the King boy's body. Dr. Robert yells, "He died, because it was too late!", to which Dr. Cottle yells back, "No, he didn't! He died of acute cell destruction! He was injected with a toxic Bisphosphenate!" Dr. robert replies, "Now, obviously, you got a wrong reading, here. Now, I don't know what else these people ..." Then Dr. Cottle yells, "NO!! The old man, Mr. Buckminster, died of the same thing. There was no Bitamucin in his system!" Then we hear Helo yell, "You killed him, you sick Frack!"
There is, brief silence, but finally, Dr. Robert tries to redeem himself, "You ought to be on your knees, thanking me, for saving your daughters life!" Helo, tries to attack Dr. Robert, but the soldiers hold him back, then he continues, "...for having the meds, to cure her of her illness!" Dr. Robert turns around, to explain to the room, "Now, you know how painful this disease is at the end, and they don't want our help. Now, why waste time and space and meds, when all of those resources could go to those who, really deserve it. Who gets the medication, when there's not enough to go around? A Sagittaron, who won't even raise a finger to save his own race? Or a Viper pilot!!!" Dr. Cottle interrupts, "What the hell happened to, do no harm, doctor?" Dr. Robert replies, "Look! I intervened, because someone has to make the tough choice, here. But, it doesn't matter ...it doesn't matter, because look at em. They're going to destroy themselves, anyway. I mean look at em, look at em out there. They're like worms, crawling on a hot rod. Remember what you used to say, Saul? Beside from a Cylon, is there anything that you hate more than a Sagittaron?" Colonel Tigh replies, "I'll tell you what I hate, Mike ...being wrong." The colonel turns to Helo and says, "Captain Agathon!?", to which Helo replies, "Sir?" and the colonel continues, "Arrest this son of a bitch! Gag him, if you have to!" Helo, is glad to follow that order and says, "My pleasure, sir!", as he moves to take Dr. Robert into custody. Helo and another solider arrest the Dr. Robert and while doing so, the doctor points at Dee and says, "I didn't harm her.", to which Helo replies, "Right ...she's one of the good ones." As they are taking him away, the camera pans over to see Mrs king and then back to show Helo's expression of remorse, yet satisfaction, because some form of justice, is being served.
Final Scene:
Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, Helo walks into Admiral Adama's office and says, "Sir? You wanted to see me?" Admiral Adama replies with, "Yes, Captain. Please, sit down." As Helo takes a seat, the admiral looks at him with a new found respect and says, "There's hate and there's allowing hate. Two sides of the same coin, really. We're guilty of both." Admiral Adama stands up and continues, "Somewhere, we got lost. You being a lone voice in the wilderness ...You're bound to stay that way, for a while." Helo, gets to his feet, stands at attention, and the admiral continues, "This is my ship ...and I owe you an apology.", to which Helo replies, "That's not necessary, sir." Admiral Adama replies with, "All the same ...you still have it." After quiet reflection, the admiral continues, "That will be all, captain.", but as Helo is leaving the room, he stops and turns back to the admiral, to give a deeply respectful salute.
The scene fast forwards, to show Helo approaching his quarters and he sees his wife, standing in the doorway, holding their baby. Helo, proudly walks over, to kiss her passionately and the scene ends.
Bonus Scene:
Onboard the Battlestar Galactica, Helo is standing in Admiral Adama's office and says, "Admiral? The infected Cylons ...I did it. I reversed the air purification system and they ...they umm ...suffocated." The admiral knew already, but lowered his head in disappointment, after hearing the confirmation, then looks up to say, "Are you sure, you want to have this conversation, captain?" After a slight pause, Helo replies, "Yes, sir." and the scene ends.
