New Scene:
Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica and back to the crisis with Airlock 12, the alarm has been blaring all this time and as the chief, frantically, tries to repair the leak, he says, "See if there is another patch in there, I want to double up on this one, to make sure it holds." After a brief moment, the chief says, "Come on, Cal. Faster is better. The sooner we do this, the sooner we get out.", to which she resentfully replies, "I heard you, the first time ..."

New Scene:
Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, Admiral Adama is walking down the same corridor, as he leaves his meeting with the president, when he notices that everyone is staring and gawking at him. Then we hear his wife say, "You're getting better at ignoring all of that. The sudden hush. Those side long glances. That, really, used to get to you." Then, the admiral's daydream puts him back on the couch, as he converses with his late wife, "I don't ever recall, being able to intimidate, you.", to which she replies, "That's right, but I knew you, long before you were the admiral ...back when you were, just Bill. A husband, who wasn't there ...a father, who left ...just Bill. Who is Bill Adama, anyway? It's still, a good question. I wonder if I'll get an answer." The admiral comes out of his daydream, as he turns to enter the, Viper Pilot, briefing room.

As some of the pilots are entering the briefing room, we hear Narcho exclaim, "49 days, without a sighting! Maybe, we finally scared the toasters off." Starbuck overheard those words, as she jokingly says, "Oh yeah, Narcho. Your crap landings, put the fear of gods, in them."

As Apollo enters the room, Helo yells, "A-tennn-Hut!" and everyone gets to their feet to stand at attention. Apollo approaches the podium and says, "At ease." and everyone takes a seat, then he continues, "Before, we get started, I want a show of hands ...How many of you boneheads, know how to count?" Everyone in the room, raises their hands, so Apollo continues, "Because, I keep hearing numbers being thrown around the hangar deck. 47, then 48, now 49 days, since our last enemy contact! Now, I realize, that any higher maths, are probably beyond most of you, so I'm going to make this real simple for ya." As he says this, he walks out from behind the podium to stand directly in front of the first row of seats, then continues, "One! Is the only number you need to remember ...because, all it takes is for one pilot to let his guard down, one ECO to miss a Dradis Contact, and suddenly, the Cylons are on top of us. That's when people die."

New Scene:
Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, Admiral Adama, who has been listening to his son's speech, starts daydreaming again, and tells his wife, "He's like both of us ...proud, stubborn, and angry ...but, he's coming into his own, especially in the last few months." His wife replies, "Don't tell me, tell him." The commander replies with, "He knows.", to which she replies with the question, "Knows what? That the admiral is going to give him a good performance review? Or, that his father loves him? Don't tell me, that the admiral's facade, extends to Lee, too ..."

New Scene:
Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, in the briefing room, Apollo continues, "Formation flying, deflection shooting, tactics, doing touch and goes, until every last one of you, hits an OK-Three! Red and Blue sections will go first, Yellow and Green, will follow. Skids up, in ten minutes! Dismissed!"

As the pilots are dismissed, Starbuck remains in her seat, until most of them have left, then Apollo says, "Starbuck? If you've got a problem, I don't want to hear about it." Starbuck smiles and gets to her feet to say an encouraging, "My only problem is, that you didn't preach that sermon a week ago. You might want to find some new material, though. The old man's, been using that One-Fatal-Mistake line, since we got here." Apollo replies, "Well, if you're going to steal, steal from the best." Just as he says those words, we see the admiral approach the podium and Starbuck turns to leave.

The admiral, who was impressed by the speech, says "Pretty tough on em, today.", to which Apollo replies, "Well, a kick in the but, is worth a thousand words. God's know, you've kicked mine enough." The admiral smiles and Apollo asks, "Everything ok?", to which the admiral replies, "It's been one of those mornings ...The president want's to take the fast track on Baltar's trial. She's looking for someone to take charge of the preliminaries, help cobble together the legal framework ...She want's me to assign, you." Apollo is surprised with his reply, "You're kidding?" and the admiral asks, "Interested?", to which Apollo replies, "I'm more surprised ...Did she say, why she asked for me?" Admiral Adama replies with, "Well, she's going to need someone she can trust. You, definitely fit that." After a brief pause, the admiral continues, "I remember when you were younger ...You 'ld go visit your grandfather's house ...you were fascinated with his papers and his law books." Apollo chuckles and says, "And there was me, thinking I was being sly ...sneaking off into his office, all by myself ...yeah, I guess it's a pipe dream, now. But, for five minutes there, I really did consider lawyer, as one of a dozen careers, that I could go into, before I joined the service." Admiral Adama replies with a surprised, "Hmm ...I never knew that." Apollo replies with, "Well, it was probably during one of my uh ...angry at dad, phases ...Anyway, it's impossible. Even, if I wanted to help out, there's no way. A CAG's duties are, already twenty-four seven ...even on a light week." The admiral replies with, "Yeah, I assumed that." Just then, we hear someone say, "Major? We're ready for you." and Apollo excuses himself to leave the room.

New Scene:
Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, back to the crisis with Airlock 12, Chief Tyrol repairs the patch as best he can and says, "Yeah, well ...that's going to have to do." He then, turns around and orders, "Seelix? Check the pressure, if that patch holds, we're going to equalize in a few minutes and this door is going to open." When Seelix flips some switches, to check the pressure differential, they hear the patch break open and the air starts escaping at an even faster rate, than before. With startled fear, they both rush over to the breach and attempt to stop the air from venting into space.

The scene, briefly switches over, to show Admiral Adama, Colonel Tigh, and a few crewman rushing to the airlock control room. En route, Apollo meets up with them and the admiral asks, "How are they doing?", to which he replies, "Still alive.", as they continue to rush down the corridor, together. Then we hear a message over the loudspeaker, "This is a Condition 3 Alert! Hull breach on deck 14!"
