New Scene:
Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, the chief is not able to sleep, so he get's out of bed and tells his wife, "I'm going to go check on Kevin and Zenno."

When the chief gets to the Galactica brig, the camera pans over to Zenno, to show that he is bleeding, then pans over to Kevin, who says, "Hey? You gotta get him out of here." Chief Tyrol asks, "What happened to his hands?" and Kevin replies, "I wake up in the middle of the night, he's scratching the walls. He just keeps scratching them, until his fingers bleed." The chief looks over at Zenno, who appears to be suffering from a mental breakdown, then Kevin says, "He was in Cylon Detention on New Caprica! You remember? He came out all squirrel-y and this is not helping. Come on, you gotta get him out of here." The chief sighs of guilt, but asks, "Where are the seals?" Kevin get's angry with his reply, "Aww you son of a bitch!" Chief Tyrol starts to yell at Zenno, "Cabot? Cabot, look at me. Cabot? Listen to me, where are the seals?", but Zenno is in complete torment, not even aware of his surroundings. The chief continues, "Cabot? I can get you out of here! Where are the seals!? Tell me where the seals are." The chief continues to yell and this drives Zenno to a dangerous mental state of break down, then Kevin gives in and tells him that the seals are located in an air vent near the sector start.

New Scene:
Aboard the fuel refinery ship, Chief Tyrol is installing the seals, now that they have been recovered and says, "Alright, that's the last one. Let's fire this up. Get back to work." Kevin, resentfully replies, "Yes, sir! What ever you say, boss!" Just as the chief was about to fire the machinery back up, Milo yells, Hey, hey hey! Can I throw the switch?" and the chief pauses to ask, "How old are you?" and Milo answers, "Twelve ...almost. But, I can learn every machine you've got. The only thing I haven't done, is turn the whole thing on." The chief backs off and says, "It's all yours." As soon as Milo pulls the lever, we hear a bell ringing and someone is heard over the loudspeaker, "Loaders to your stations. All loaders to your stations." The chief looks around with shame, when he sees that most of the people working in the machinery are very young, then the scene ends.

New Scene:
Chief Tyrol is reporting to the president, "They're kids down there, Madam President." The president replies, "There's children on every ship in the fleet." The chief continues, "These children, WORK in the refinery. They're twelve ...fifteen years old." The president replies, "There have been families aboard the refinery ever since it's beginning and the others picked up after the Cylons attacked the colonies. Over the past two years, the parents have been teaching the children how to operate the machinery. They have been passing along their skills. It is perfectly normal. It is not ideal, I know that ...but there is nothing ideal about this fleet." Chief Tyrol replies, "Do you see what's happening? Jobs are starting to be inherited, Madam President. We don't know how long we are going to be aboard these ships. What if it's ten years? So, I train my son to be a deckhand, because that's what I am? And that's all he can ever be? Is that the future we want?" The president quietly reflects on the chiefs words, because she knows he is right, then smiles and says, "That's a really good point.", then turns to her assistant and says, "Torrey? I want you to make a list of everyone in the fleet, that has a work history appropriate to the refinery. Factory workers, mechanics, what ever you think. Give it to the chief ..." Then, she looks toward the chief and says, "And I want you to hold a public lottery ...and we will take people from other vessels and we will put them on shifts in the refinery. How's that chief?" The chief replies, "Thank you." and the president returns the gratitude, as the chief leaves the room.

New Scene:
Down in the Galactica hangar bay, we see a bunch of people being loaded on to Raptors and Chief Tyrol says, "So, that's our eleventh from Dogsville." and orders Fagurskey, "Get these people on these ships and out of here, before they know where they're going." Fagurskey yells, "Alright, people. Let's form two lines ...one down here, one over here ..." and then we see a young boy run up to the chief and say, "Excuse me! Sir? Hi ...Um, I don't really know who we're supposed to talk to about this, but I don't really think I'm what you guys are looking for. I don't really have the skills." The chief asks, "What's your name?" and the boy replies, "Danny Nuun." The chief turns to yell, "Fagurskey? Nuun?" Fagurskey says, "Nuun.", as he looks up the name on his list, then says, "Nuun, Danielle ...says you're a farmer." The boy questions, "Farmer?" and the chief replies, "Farmer? Yeah, that's what we're looking for, people to work with heavy machinery.", but the boy protests, "No, but I don't. Not really. I worked on a farm for a summer, because I was saving up to go to college ...Architecture. But, then the Cylons attacked and now I'm a farmer? How is that fair? How is it, in any way, fair?"

The chief seems troubled and signals to Fagurskey to come closer to ask advice, then Fagurskey says, "If we make an exception for this guy, there's going to be 15 more, right behind him." The chief replies, "Look at him, though. He's a kid." The chief shakes his head and says, "Fine, give him his seat", then he turns to the boy and says, "Ah ...Look, this is just a temporary thing. Ok?" As soon as he says that, someone grabs the boy and directs him to board the Raptor, but the boy protests, "Hey? Wait! I'm not a farmer!" The chief replies, "Yeah. It's not permanent.", but the boy continues to protest, "No! Wait, can you just check my record?" and Fagurskey replies, "Yeah.", but does nothing. The boy continues in desperation, "Hey!? Who am I supposed to talk to about this!? You don't understand, I'm not a farmer! Hey! Stop it! I'm not a farmer!"

The camera pans over, to show the chief is ashamed of what was happening. He turns to walk away and as he passes a work table, he notices a copy of Dr. Baltar's book. He opens the book and turns to the first page, to read, "The Emerging Aristocracy and the Emerging Underclass. I wash my hands of the phony democratic system. I will never let myself be distracted by the placatory crumbs that the Caprican elite, led by the Roslin administration ..."

New Scene:
Still onboared the Battlestar Galactica, Chief Tyrol goes to visit Dr. Baltar in his jail cell and the doctor asks, "What are you doing here?" The chief replies, "Your book. Fact or fiction?" Dr. Baltar is surprised and asks, "So, you've read it? Well, that proves that the president is an accomplished liar.", referring to her words from earlier, where she promised that she was the only one who has seen the book.
