Battlestar Galactica Season Three, Episode "Dirty Hands", Page 7
Final Scene:
Back onboard the Battlestar Galactica, down in the hangar bay, the chief is announcing the duty roster, "Pollucks and Herschel ...you are on fueling, forty-three seventy-two." Suddenly, Starbuck walks in the hangar bay and yells, "Chief Tyrol!?" and the chief replies, "Hey, Captain?" and Starbuck continues, "Chief? One of my nuggets failed to show up for basic flight instruction, this morning." The chief replies with, "I'm sorry to hear that, captain." Starbuck continues, "So, maybe you can tell me, where the hell Diana Seelix is?" Chief Tyrol turns to his crew and orders, "Seelix? Front and center." and Starbuck yells at her, "Flight instruction began twenty minutes ago, Seelix. You wanna be a pilot, or not?" A surprised Seelix, replies with, "Yes, sir! But, I thought ...", and Starbuck interrupts her with, "You will think when I tell you to think, nugget! ...and you might want to look at the plan of the day, because then you will know where you are supposed to be and you might actually get there on time! ...and you're out of uniform, to boot!" Chief Tyrol interjects, "Oh I'm sorry, captain. I think I can handle that." and Starbuck replies, "Thank you.", as the chief walks over to Seelix, holds up two brass pins, and says, "You have to be an officer, to fly Vipers. You know that." When Tyrol has finished pinning the promotional ornaments on Seelix's suit, he orders his crew, "Detail! Hand salute!" and everyone gives a proud salute to the newest officer aboard the Battlestar Galactica.
Seelix returns the salute and says, "Thank you, chief ...Thank you." with a proud smile on her face. Chief Tyrol shakes her hand and says, "Congratulations, ensign." and Starbuck interrupts, "Alright, this is all very touching, but you were supposed to be in Ready Room 4, twenty minutes ago, ensign! Which means that you are falling behind on your first day! So, move it!" Seelix turns to give one last appreciative look at the chief, then Starbuck yells, "Don't look at him! Move it! Move it!" and turns to smile at the chief. You can hear the whole room laughing with pride and happiness, then the chief smiles and tells Starbuck, "Be nice." The camera pans over to show Seelix, who has a triumphant and joyous smile all over her face and the episode ends.
