The Son Also Rises Recap: Scene Fifteen

Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, as they are leaving the room, the lawyer stops suddenly, turns to Apollo, and says, "Fly me to Colonial One." Apollo remembers that his father grounded him, before replying, "Me?" and the lawyer says, "Yeah, you're a pilot, aren't ya?" Apollo tries to cover up the embarrassment, by saying, "You don't understand. You can't just jump in a Raptor. These things have to be coordinated." The lawyer asks, "Who would you rather be, major? Here? As the parade folk to the bereaved?" Apollo is confused with his reply, "What are you talking about?" and the lawyer taunts him with, "Everybody lookin at ya, like you're bleeding out of your side." Suddenly, an angered Apollo grabs the lawyer by his collar and gets up in his face, before threatening, "Do you want to see some real blood? Keep going." The lawyer knows he pushed the right button and replies, "Ohhh, there is someone home ...Look, I need those files. You come with me, they might just give em to me. If I wait ...they're going to discover what Baltar has, before we get em. What is your job, anyway? To keep me alive? Or, keep me from doing mine?"

The Son Also Rises Recap: Scene Fifteen

Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, Apollo and the lawyer are entering the hangar bay and as they approach one of the Raptors, a Kelly is waiting and says, "Sorry, sir. You know your stats. You're to remain ship side. Those are the admiral's orders." The lawyer makes the observation, "Father factor." and Apollo says, "Come on, Kelly. Give me a break. I'm along for the ride." The guard pleads, "Don't do this to me. Alright, I'm in enough dung, already. Alright?" Apollo walks past him and boards the Raptor, then takes his seat. Suddenly, the camera pans over, to show another bomb is hidden onboard, armed and ready to go off. As the Raptor doors begin to close, the camera pans over to show Chief Tyrol yell the order, "Alright, let's give the bird a tow." The camera pans back to the Raptor, to show the lawyer's cat escaping under the door, just as it finishes closing. The chief notices the cat and yells, "Ho, ho, ho, Open the door. Open the door. What the Frack was that thing? Did you see that? What the? I think it was a cat!" The lawyer speaks up, "That's my cat." and the chief continues, "There's a Fracken cat in there. Come on out of there. Major? Who the hell let a cat in here?" The crew attempts to catch the cat, but it is swift to evade them and runs under the ship, before the chief yells, "He's on the other side. Push him over here. There it is. It's over there. It's over there. There it is. There it is." As the chief tries to coach the cat out from under the Raptor, he looks up to discover a bomb is attached to the underbelly, armed and ready to go off. He screams the warning, "Bomb!!! Bomb!!! Everybody out!!! Get out!!" and everyone runs for cover.

The Son Also Rises Recap: Scene Sixteen

Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, in the admiral's quarters, Admiral Adama is disciplining Apollo, "What the HELL were you doing out there!? I gave you an order ...to do a job." Apollo replies, "Excuse me. I WAS doing my job." and the admiral replies, "Yeah, being led around by the nose? The bastard yanked your chain and you jumped." Apollo replies, "He wanted the files from Colonial One ...", but the admiral interrupts him with, "It was the middle of the night." Apollo defends himself with, "Hey, you assigned me to security." Admiral Adama admits, "Yeah, and there was a bomb on that ship ...and you missed it." The is a brief pause, before the admiral continues with anger, "Security? I gave you explicit orders." Apollo replies, "Athena, was piloting." Admiral Adama shakes his head and says, "You could have died. Plain and simple. You're a soldier. Live like one. Start acting like one." Apollo knows what this is about, with his reply, "She's been gone, two weeks. I didn't realize the clock was running.", but is interrupted by the admiral, "Stop." Apollo continues with no hesitation, "No, I'm sorry, because maybe we're just built differently." The admiral repeats the request, "You stop. Don't you dare, quantify my loss.", but Apollo continues to confront his father with, "You have no idea. You have no Fracking idea." Admiral Adama replies, "What? You think yours is deeper? Yours is greater?" Apollo turns his head and says, "Well, ...." Just then, Admiral Adama gets enraged, "In TWO WEEKS!! There's going to be a trial ...and I'm going to do what I was chosen to do and so are you!! You build a Fracking nest around this man and you protect his ass!

The Son Also Rises Recap: Scene Seventeen

Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, chief Tyrol enters the hangar bay tool room, carrying the disarmed bomb and lays it on the table for his entire crew to see, before saying, "The Fracker meant business, this time. If that thing had gone off, we' ld be picking up Raptor and people parts with tweezers." Kelly replies, "Everyday, I wave jocks out there. A lot of them are my friends. People, I care for and love. It's hard enough watching them die in battle, but ricocheting Baltar's Fracking attorney around? Frack that!" Cally speaks up with, "I believe the Cylons want us to destroy ourselves, and this is how they're doing it ...by planting bombs, making us suspicious of each other ...You know it's funny, by the time the Cylons catch up with us, they won't even have to attack. They'll just clean up the mess we made. I think they're here." Athena disagrees with, "I think you're wrong." Cally replies, with, "Ok, all I know is I kissed Nicky this morning and it could have been the last time." Chief Tyrol interrupts her with, "Cally? That's enough." She turns to her husband and says, "What? I kissed you too! Some of us, don't get a second chance." She turns to Athena and accusingly says, "Or third.", which causes her to get up and leave the room. Chief Tyrol looks at one of his crewman and orders, "Go to the admiral.", then follows Athena out of the room.

The Son Also Rises Recap: Scene Eighteen

Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, Apollo, is giving security advice to Dr. Baltar's lawyer, "Go on, take a good look at this room. Every time you leave, memorize it. If anything changes ...don't touch it. Uh ...a book moves, shoes in a wrong place, something smells different, you get the Frack out. Someone knocks? Don't answer the door. Don't open the door. Look, you have to do what I say." The lawyer doesn't seem worried with his reply, "If they want to kill me, they'll find a way. Now, who do I have to bribe, to see the Cylon woman?"

Meanwhile, Down in the brig, Dr. Baltar continues to write, where he left off, "The nature of modern life, is obsession." Suddenly, he seems to have lost something, so he begins to search the room.
