Lampkin replies, "What are you doing in my business? Suddenly, I'm handcuffed to a serial contrarian." Apollo gets defensive with his reply, "No. I am not a ...", but then reconsiders his reply, "Uh ...Ok" Lampkin then remarks, "My bed is made. I suggest you toil on your own. Now ...this cross-examination, is over. I' ld like to take a crap." As Lampkin gets up to leave, Apollo asks, "Remember that story that you told about the girl, the woman, that you loved ...getting over her, is it true?" Lampkin continues toward the door, without answering, so Apollo repeats the question, "Hey, was it true?" Lampkin stops at the door, turns around, and replies, "Yes."

The Son Also Rises Recap: Scene Nineteen

As Lampkin is being escorted to his quarters, by armed guards, they meet a man carrying a large briefcase. Fagurskey tells the guards, "For him. Files from the Colonial One." Lampkin is happy with his reply, "Finally! I thought I would get these, after the trial was over.", but one of the guards stops Fagurskey with the order, "Hold it. Put that on the floor, now." Fagurskey gives the guard an annoyed look, before saying, "For Frack's sake, it was there when Cally x-rayed em. It's papers.", as he hurries off down the hall. Lampkin removes the lock and hands it to the guard saying, "There you go."

As they open the briefcase and search the contents, they don't find anything, so Lampkin asks, "Good?" and the guard replies, "Yeah." However, when they stand up, the guard notices some screws lying on the floor, then looks up to see Lampkin punching in his password on the keypad. He puts two and two together and screams "No!!", while pushing Lampkin out of the way, but not before a bomb explodes in the doorway.

The Son Also Rises Recap: Scene Nineteen

The scene starts out, with the camera zooming in on the fleet and then pans over to the Battlestar Galactica, before switching inside to her sickbay, where we see Lampkin has survived the assassination attempt. Apollo enters the sickbay, carrying a duffle bag and sets it on the table, beside the bed. Lampkin notices and says, "Thank you." and signals Apollo to open it.

When Apollo opens the bag, he finds a pair of glasses. Lampkin says, "The president's glasses. She looks bad with them, but they help. But serious ...serious, catches on in the courtroom. Apollo pulls a button out of the duffle bag and Lampkin says, "Your fathers." Apollo, knows he stole it and asks, "When?" Lampkin replies, "From the deck, right after the bomb went off, that ate the Raptor. Here kitty, kitty, kitty" and struggles to laugh. Lampkin continues, "Now, it's hangin by a thread." Apollo replies, "They tarnish so fast." Lampkin replies, "It was like that, when I plucked it. Everybody else ...Tigh, you ...all shiny. The soldier in him, has had enough for awhile. He'll be glad to sit in that courtroom and fire his missiles there." Apollo nods, then looks in the duffle bag one more time, to discover a flip-flop type of sandal and Lampkin explains, "Miss prosecuting attorney ...down the hall." He smiles, before continuing, "It's not what you think ...it's appropriated, a notice of intentions. You see how the souls are wore?"

Apollo notices and makes the comment, "She drags her feet." and Lampkin approvingly replies, "You're catching on." Apollo smiles, before asking, "And the rest? What's all this?" Lampkin chuckles and replies, "My demons ...I borrow things. My parents disappeared, when I was nine years old. They were kidnapped, murdered for the money they had on them, which wasn't enough. I went to live with an old stove man, until I could run away." Apollo nods and then asks, "So, what did you take from me?" Lampkin replies, "I was thinking the photograph, that you carry ...the girl ...the pilot, the one you carry on ya, but ...you've had enough stolen from ya, already." When Lampkin finishes his confession, Apollo says, "I'll try and get these back to her, some how.", referring to the prosecutors things.

Before Apollo leaves, Lampkin says, "The other pocket, to the back." Apollo pulls Dr. Baltar's pen out and says, "Oh." Lampkin continues, "The guards took it from her, I borrowed it from them." He pulls an envelope out and signals to Apollo to give him the pen, so he can put it in and seal it. Lampkin then says, "We still have a case ...pending. If you want to help, if you dare to help. Get this to my client." Apollo asks, "A case?" and Lampkin replies, "I have a calling ...so the ringing in my ears, tells me." Apollo starts to pack everything up, but notices something and is angry at what he finds. He pulls a out a strange object from the duffle bag and says, "Ok, you better explain this." Lampkin replies, "Aggh, I don't even know what it is." Apollo angrily replies, "Well, I do. Where did ya get it?" Lampkin replies, "The one that scolded ya, like a school boy. Fracken with your head, what's his name? Mr. Serious, ahhh ....Kelly." Apollo is shocked at Lampkin's words and asks, "Ke ...Kelly?" Lampkin replies, "Yeah."

The Son Also Rises Recap: Scene Twenty

Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, Apollo confronts Kelly with the object, that Lampkin stole from him. Kelly knows he is caught and decides to come clean, "I never would have let Athena go airborne, with you on the Raptor. I would have stopped it. You know that." Apollo replies, "Yeah, I know that." After Kelly confesses, he says, "You better lock me up and I don't want any trial. I won't stop. I will keep trying. I'll keep at it, I will. I did my job, sir ...and I have done my job, for two years, now. Everyday, I send people out to fight, I cleared them all to die. So many people. I just got tired of living with that. You ask that man, if you had to choose ...between giving his life up for a Cylon or a human, what do you think he' ld say? I had to do something.

The Son Also Rises Recap: Scene Twenty-One

Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, Apollo is seated in his father's office, while the Admiral is on the phone, "Exo? Reinstate Major Adama, as Commander of the Air Group, effective immediately. He hangs up the phone and says to his son, "It's good to have you back." Apollo is sincere with his reply, "Thank you." Admiral Adama, is just as sincere, with his reply, "I'm sorry, because I was wrong and I made it worse." Apollo begins to disagree, "No ...", but is interrupted by his father, "No, you should be in your bird.", then Apollo continues, "I think I should be with Lampkin." The admiral replies, "Well, now that we know that it was Kelly ...we can ease up a little bit on security."
