Apollo advises his father, "In his condition, I think Lampkin needs help preparing the trial and presenting his case.", but the admiral continues to discourage him by saying, "The president has a few possibilities, she's looking." Apollo replies, "Dad? Why not me? I'm close to the case, I've read the documents. I understand Lampkin's strategy." Admiral Adama, still wants to discourage Apollo from taking the case, by saying, "We have things, under control. Lampkin, will have help.", but Apollo shows, that he won't give up that easily with his reply, "I want to do this." Admiral Adama is annoyed by his sons relentless attitude and replies, "You're a CAG. You're not a lawyer ...far from it." Apollo is just as annoyed with his reply, "What? And your a judge?" Admiral Adama replies, "No, but like the four other men, picked ...I'm capable of listening to the evidence and making an ethical decision." and Apollo continues to argue with his father, "And I'm capable of helping Lampkin.", but the admiral refuses, "Forget it. I need you as CAG." Apollo sighs, with his reply, "Why did you give me those books? Huh? I mean you gave me, your father's law books." Admiral Adama regrets that decision with his reply, "I made a mistake." Apollo asks, "Why? Why is it a mistake? You afraid that I'll be like him?" Admiral Adama answers with, "You're a pilot.", so Apollo asks, "And With Zak gone and Kara gone, you need someone to carry the flag, is that it?" Admiral Adama continues to argue, "You're a pilot and you're my son ...and I will not look across that court and see you sitting on the other side." Apollo then asks, "To see me? Or see someone else?" Admiral Adama has had enough of the discussion and orders, "Report for duty." Apollo shakes his head and asks, "Is that an order?" and the admiral sighs, before saying, "You're in way over your head. Report for duty." Apollo gets angry with his reply and yells the question, "IS that an order!!??", which tries the admiral's patience, as he takes his glasses off and rises to his feet, before saying, "I'm through giving you orders."
