Crossroads Part 1 Recap: Scene 19

Onboard the Colonial One, the president is holding a press conference and one of the reporters asks, "Madam President? How long have you known about the cancer?" She replies with, "About a week." Another reporter asks, "How advanced is the disease?" The president shakes her head, then another reporter asks, "Will you be getting another transfusion from the half-cylon donor?" The president is frustrated by all the questions and says, "You know, this is the kind of detail, I'm not going to go into, now. You know, we're looking at a game plan, I'll let you know when we have one." Another reporter asks, "Well, how will the treatment, impact your duties as president?" The president replies, "So far, it hasn't, at all." Another reporter asks, "Are you, currently, taking Chamalla Extract?", but her aide interrupts, "Don't answer that." Which causes another reporter to ask, "How often do you hallucinate?" The president's aide gets fed up and yells, "Alright, enough of this crap! We're done here. You vultures can go pick over another carcass." The president leans over to her aide and says, "Tori? Come here. I'll see you inside. Thank you." After Tori leaves the room, the president smiles and leans over the podium to say, "I'm sorry, temperatures are running a little high in the fleet, these days. Who's next?" and calls on Karen, who asks the boldest question, "Madam President? How long do you have to live?" President Roslin bluntly asks, "How long do you have to live, Karen?"

Crossroads Part 1 Recap: Scene 29

Still onboard the Colonial One, the president has left the press conference and meets up with Tori in the other room. Tori stands up and says, "You handled that well.", but the president angrily replies, "You didn't. Pick over another carcass, as opposed to mine? That's going to look good in the press." Tori replies, "I don't even know, why I said that.", then the president demands, "What is up with you? You've been off your game for days, you're distracted, you're exhausted, you're just ...You know, frankly? You're plain obnoxious." A worried Tori replies, "I just haven't been sleeping, very well." The president scolds her with, "You need to pull it together and focus on your job, fast! Or I can find someone, who can handle the press, as well as, pull a comb through their hair, once a week.", referring to Tori's unkempt appearance.

Crossroads Part 1 Recap: Scene 31

Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, Helo is seen walking into the CIC and approaching Gaeta, before saying,"Lieutenant?" Gaeta stands at attention and salutes Helo, before saying, "Uh, good morning, Exo." Helo smiles and returns the salute, before saying, "Morning. It's just temporary, the colonel will pull it together." Gaeta looks up at him and says, "Right.", as he continues to plot coordinates and describes the plan to Helo, "So, we're using the Tylium ship, as a decoy, to lead the along this course, here ...almost directly opposite to ours. When they reach this point, here ...they'll re-calibrate their FTL and start jumping back to rendezvous with Galactica and the rest of the fleet, here ...at the Ionia Nebula." Helo asks, "Any indication, the Cylons are following them?" and Gaeta replies, "Nothing, yet. And it would appear, they've stopped following us, as well. Our trailing Raptor, has yet to pick up any sign of pursuit, since the Tylium ship left the fleet." Helo, then asks, "How many jumps, till we reach the nebula?" and Gaeta replies, "Uh ...it's hard to believe, we're down to the last three." Helo, curiously, pauses a moment before he replies, "Good." Gaeta then asks, "Uh ...anything else, sir?" and Helo replies, "No, no. I was just uh ...just remembering back on Caprica, when the weather was about to change, you get this smell in the air ...I mean, the sun could be out, not a cloud in the sky, but you would pick up this smell and you knew that um ...something was just over the horizon. The weather is changing, Felix. We need to be ready for it. There's a storm coming." and he walks away.
