Crossroads Part 2 Recap: Scene 1

The season finale starts out onboard the Battlestar Galactica in the admiral's quarters, where he had just cut himself shaving. He yells, "Ah! Frack me!", then the phone rings. He uses a towel on his face, then picks up the phone and says, "Yes?" President Roslin is on the other end and replies, "Yell at me. I want to get out of bed." and the admiral jokingly replies, "Well, you called the wrong number. I was just thinking about going back to bed." The president is curious about his health, so she asks, "You feeling ok?" The admiral replies, "Says the cancer patient. Yeah, I'm fine. I just cut myself. How you doing?" The president replies, "I don't want to face him. I don't want to face any of them. I just want to stay in bed all day and sleep." Meanwhile, the admiral is using some tissue on the cut and says, "Ahh, I think I stopped the bleeding." Then turns his attention back to the president, "If you you still need to be yelled at, I think I can give you some volume." The president smiles and says, "Ok, alright. Give it your best shot." Admiral Adama jokingly yells, "Get out of that bed!" Still smiling, the president says, "That's not your best shot.", so the admiral increases his volume and yells, "Get your fat, lazy ass out of that rack, Roslin!" President Roslin starts to giggle and says, "Yes, sir. Ok, sir. Anything you say, sir." She stops giggling and appreciatively says, "Thank you." Then the admiral says, "Don't let them see you sweat, Laura."

Crossroads Part 2 Recap: Scene 2

Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, the camera zooms in on Chief Tyrol, who is still in bed next to Cally. We hear him humming a tune in his sleep, then he is awaken by some strange music coming from the walls, so he gets up.

Crossroads Part 2 Recap: Scene 3

Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, the camera zooms in on Anders, who is holding both hands over his face, thinking about what just happened. He looks up and says, "Come here." The camera zooms out a bit, to reveal that Tory (the president's aide) had spent the night and is starting to get dressed. She replies, "I can't." Anders repeats his request, "Come here.", as he reaches for her arm, then turns her to face him. Tory sits on his lap and says, "I have to get back to the Colonial One.", then they start making out.

The scene, briefly, switches elsewhere aboard the ship, to show Chief Tyrol walking down a hallway searching for the source of the strange music he keeps hearing, then switches back to Anders and Tory, as things start to heat up. However, they are interrupted, when Tory hears that very same music and says, "Where's that music? Gods." Anders is surprised that she can hear it too and asks, "What did you just say?", but suddenly a knock is heard at the door, so they both rush to get their clothes on. Anders calls out, "Yeah, coming!" and when he opens the door, Seelix walks in and says, "Hey, why is the door locked?" Anders replies, "Sorry.", then Seelix notices Tory is there with him, so she lowers her head in disappointment. In an attempt to hide her feelings, she walks straight to her duffle bag, grabs her gear and leaves the room.

The scene, switches back to Chief Tyrol, who is still searching for the source of that strange music. When he comes to the end of the corridor, he finds a huge ventilation fan and the music seems to get louder, as he gets closer. He puts his ear up to the opening in order to hear the music better and seems to be soothed by it's melody, as he closes his eyes.

Crossroads Part 2 Recap: Scene 4

Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, the camera zooms in on the jail Cell, where Apollo, Lampkin, and Dr. Baltar are working on a strategy for today's court proceedings. Suddenly, Apollo gets an idea and says, "We should go for a miss trial." Dr. Baltar looks up and asks, "What?", then redirects the question to Lampkin, "What's he talking about?" Lampkin doesn't answer, so Dr. Baltar repeats the question to Apollo, "What are you talking about? Miss trial? Whatever for?" Apollo replies, "Because, we're losing.", but the doctor disagrees with, "Not from where I'm standing. We're, actually, doing quite well. We ...We're just about to break the prosecution. We've blown two of their key witnesses, out of the water. What more do we need to do, for gods sakes?" Apollo replies with urgency, "Everyone in that courtroom hates you. Everyone, including the judges. You didn't hear what my father just called you. He called you a traitorous piece of garbage, a man who doesn't even deserve a trial." Lampkin is interested in Apollo's last comment and asks, "He said that? He actually, said that?" Apollo replies, "Yes, he did ...and I don't think he's the only one up there."

After hearing Apollo's reply, Lampkin turns to Dr. Baltar and says, "I agree. Our tactical victories are pissing them off." Dr. Baltar is shocked with his reply, "Right, so now because we're winning, we're losing. Actually. " Lampkin nods with his reply, "Perverse, isn't it? One of the reasons, why I love what I do." Apollo interrupts them, while reading from one of his grandfather's books, "Forcing a miss trial may seem of little benefit to either side, but in fact, it can be a boon to the defense. The prosecution has shown their hand. At re-trial, the defense has all of the tactical advantages and the statistical chances of an acquittal rise by 25 percent." Dr. Baltar is excited by this news and quickly walks over to see what Apollo is reading. He grabs the book and reads who the author is, "Joseph Adama." and Apollo says, "Trial tactics and Strategies, page 273." Lampkin is impressed and says, "Smart man, your grandfather." Strangely, Dr. Baltar is not pleased, as he closes the book and says, "Yeah, well I can see why you would want a miss trial." Apollo is confused with the doctor's comment and says, "I'm sorry, what's that supposed to mean?" and the doctor replies, "Well, that would be the quickest way, wouldn't it? For you to absolve all of your responsibility, wash you hands of the whole affair. You get back to your life ..." He turns to Lampkin and says, "You get back to ...where ever you get back to and I get back to a cell and I have to go through this all over, again! I can't physically take that! No more games ...no miss trials! There will be a verdict!" With those words, the room gets quiet, as they reflect on what the doctor just said.

Crossroads Part 2 Recap: Scene 5

Still onboard the Battlestar Galactica, down in the hangar bay, some of the crew are listening to a news broadcast that is reporting on Dr. Baltar's trial, "Yesterday, marked a surprising turn of events in the trial of Dr. Gaius Baltar, when Colonel Tigh admitted to killing his wife ..." The camera pans over, to show Racetrack standing on the wing of her Raptor, as she is giving a lecture to some new recruits, "Before any of you nuggets can even think about flying one of my Raptors, you have to know it's systems. Electronics, Avionics, Navigation, Engine Control, Dredis Configuration ..." The camera pans over to show Seelix and Anders standing next to each other, when he starts hearing that strange music, again. He starts humming the tune, as Racetrack continues her lecture, "auto-piloting, propulsion systems. The best way to learn that is on a Raptor"
