Tyrol learns that all of the recently rounded up insurgents will be executed, including Cally, so he and a small team meet the firing squad with a surprise attack.
Colonel Tigh, Chief Tyrol, and Samuel Anders plan an attack to coordinate with the Battlestar Galactica's rescue attempt, while Ex President Roslin attends to the safety of the Cylon-Human hybrid baby.
With new doubt that they will ever be able to live peacefully with the humans, the Cylons plan to detonate a Nuclear Bomb, destroying the colony, once and for all.
Meanwhile, the resistance is shocked to learn that Ellen Tigh has collaborated with the Cylons and a high price must be paid, for her betrayal.
As the Battlestar Galactica prepares for it's most dangerous and harrowing rescue mission, Admiral Adama and his son bid their farewells, knowing that they may never see each other again. If the Galactica and crew survive this impossible task, already set in motion, they will rendezvous in 18 hours.
Meanwhile, Sharon goes undercover to obtain all of the launch keys to the Colonial Ships on New Caprica, because without them, the ships can't take off and thousands will not be able to get off the planet, when the Mighty Battlestar Galactica arrives with an heroic breakout offensive.
